"The Space Between" Limited Edition Single Wallet

 
With a duration of 35 minutes this audio installation includes a postcard sized print (10.5 x 14.8 cm) depicting all 30 images that were included in the photography exhibition of the same name, as small thumbnails, along with the artist's signature on the reverse.

Spatial sound design and textures place the listener amidst layers of urban ambience. Hums, shuffles, clatters and rumbles evoke the sounds of central Tokyo. Reverberations trapped in the space between buildings, or resonating below ground level. Pure sounds emerge along with harmonious tones. Melodies and rhythm structures form. Compiled as a gallery audio installation to accompany a photographic exhibit by Steve Jansen of a collection entitled ‘The Space Between’, a series of images shot in the Shibuya area of Tokyo. This soundtrack aims to enhance the experience in a small, quiet gallery space. In isolation it might be enjoyed as an audio journey.
